Annual Arboretum Clean-up

https://www.gofundme.com/mifflin-annual-spring-clean-up

The Arboretum is a hillside on the grounds of Mifflin School, on Midvale Avenue between Conrad St. and the Norristown rail lines. In the 1930s, the WPA created the arboretum, placing huge boulders, planting trees and constructing paths. Over the years, the Arboretum was neglected, becoming overgrown with weeds and invasive plants. A substantial amount of trash had accumulated. Our plan is to restore the area, making it available for passive recreation.

Support for this project is substantial.

The community has a commitment to preservation of green space, and we expect continued support for the project. The Arboretum is the first green space that visitors see as they drive from the business district to the residential areas.

With the money we raise, we can then dedicate some give back to our neighborhood elementary school.
Mifflin is an important part of our community and we need to be more supportive in the development and success of our neighborhood school.
