VOLUNTEER AT MIFFLIN Mifflin parents/guardians, find everything you need here to help out at your student’s school. The School District of Philadelphia Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) have put together all the forms you need in order to get more involved at your student’s school! SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA CALENDAR For planning WAY ahead!

CLASS DOJO Website/app to connect with the school and your student’s teachers. The school uses Class Dojo to send out announcements and messages. It is also used to reward students for outstanding behavior and achievements. It is not necessary to upgrade to the paid version. It is, however, very useful to stay abreast of current activities within the school.

THE BASICS

Students must arrive in uniform by 9:00 AM. (Maroon or white collared polo shirts, khaki bottoms that extend past fingertips, and closed-toe shoes.) Student drop-off begins at 8:30 AM. Students must be picked up by 3:39 PM.

Does your family require before-care?

Rutabaga Toy Library is offering Morning Care—a screen-free, stress-free alternative to rushed mornings where kids can connect, play, and feel supported. At the end of the morning, our staff will walk children safely to Thomas Mifflin School, helping them start the day with confidence and joy.

Does your family require after-care options? See the list below from the Thomas Mifflin School Handbook. These neighborhood programs provide a variety of after-school care, language, and camp options. This listing does not constitute an endorsement. Many/most of these options may provide transportation services to/from the school. Please contact them directly for information on costs and services.
